The Levice Park of M. R. Štefánik
The 17, 277 m2 large park was declared a protected area in 1984. A splendid building was located in the park in 1879, which later became the residence of the Schoeller family. During World War II it was heavily damaged. This mansion was surrounded by a park with a pool and rare trees and herbaceous plants. In the 1980s and the 1990s, the Levice Park of M. R. Štefánik was used for social, historical, entertainment and, most importantly, recreational purposes. Between 1998 and 2000, the historical part of the park was expanded and as a result a new pool, an orchestra pit, fountains, a café, a children’s playground and areas for recreation, exercise and relaxation with rich greenery were created.
