Levice ponds are situated in the south-eastern periphery of the town. It is a system of 6 water reservoirs surrounded by the Perec and Teler brooks. The area of 91.83 ha is directly linked to the town of Levice. This important locality was built in 1950-1956 as a system of artificial ponds. Since 1974, the ponds have been declared a protected area with presence of many rare animal species. The Levice ponds are economically used for fish farming.  The pond banks are lined with alders, poplars and willows. The water vegetation provides good protection for water birds that live here all year long or stay here during their migration. A new relaxation zone with an information board and benches was built here in 2013.
