Schoeller’s Mill
The original roller mill was built between 1879 and 1882 on the place of the old stone mill from the Esterhazy family land ownership era. The new mill burnt down in 1889 but was rebuilt again and became the largest local industrial facility. In 1900, originally a water mill was rebuilt and equipped with a steam drive. It used diesel as fuel and later, as the energy demand grew, an additional power line was connected from the town powerplant and the mill was eventually linked to the “Stredoslovenské elektrárne” electric network in 1928. The Bárdos és Brachfeld company rebuilt the mill and attached the mill silos between 1926 and 1927.
